Honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation | | Economic Development eNews | September 30, 2025 | | A Mosaic Approach to Holistic Healthcare | | |
ELIZABETHTOWN-KITLEY— Mosaic Integrative Health "offers a variety of pathways to achieve optimal health and wellness," says co-owner Amanda Balsdon, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, a Certified Consulting Hypnotist and a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).
Providing more than massage therapy, Mosaic offers acupuncture, clinical hypnosis, foundation training, psychotherapy, holistic nutrition, cupping, and a program for chronic pain. The clinic brings together a range of modalities to address individual needs from a multi-disciplinary perspective.
“The services we offer complement one another, that’s our advantage. Choosing our clinic, means you receive the best in holistic care,” Amanda says.
But what does holistic mean? It’s an approach to healthcare that considers the whole person, recognizing the interconnections between mind, body, and spirit, and the balance required to improve overall health. Lasting improvements come from addressing multiple dimensions, such as nutrition, physical activity, and mindset.
Over 20 years ago, a visit to Leeds Grenville convinced Amanda and her partner, David Roffey, also an RMT, to make the move from the GTA. “We wanted a more peaceful and balanced pace of life in a place that offered the benefits of a rural community,” Amanda says. “I also wanted to work in a small clinic, one that could offer continuity of care to clients from young children through to seasoned adults. Building professional relationships here was easier than anticipated. The healthcare community is tight-knit, kind, and encourages growth.”
That community of care has only expanded. Today, Mosaic’s team includes Rebecca Lundy, Registered Massage Therapist, and Laura Johnston, Registered Psychotherapist. Alongside Amanda and David, they bring a diverse skill set that allows clients to benefit from both physical and mental health expertise, all onsite.
Mosaic has become a trusted part of the healthcare community. “Operating our business in a small town has the advantage of connection,” Amanda shares. “On most outings, I see people I serve or peers, whether it’s at the grocery store or the Rowing Club. Many of our clients have been with us since the beginning, and we appreciate each one of them.”
Mosaic also collaborates with other professionals to ensure clients receive the right care at the right time. “We are so lucky to have such a range of trusted healthcare practitioners in our community,” Amanda says with a smile.
With gratitude in her voice, she adds, “After all these years, I’m still thankful every day that I get to do what I love." Helping people to feel better, balancing body, mind, and spirit has been, and always will be, at the heart of Mosaic.
