COVID-19 Numbers Increase In Ventura County

The County of Ventura is currently in the Red Tier which allows for
some business sectors to operate indoors with modifications.
Unfortunately, our daily COVID-19 case-rate numbers in Ventura County are rising. This could force the County to revert back to the most restrictive Purple Tier within the next 1-2 weeks. This would impact many business sectors including restaurants, gyms and places of worship, requiring them to cease all indoor business operations.

The best way to keep our businesses open continues to be to:
  • Wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Self-isolate if you are sick
  • Practice physical distancing
  • Wear a clean face covering when in contact with others from outside your household
  • Avoid participating in group/private gatherings with others from outside your household (group gatherings continue to be a high-risk activity)
  • Get tested

Free COVID-19 Testing
The County is also encouraging everyone to go frequently for COVID-19 testing, which could also help prevent Ventura from going back to the Purple Tier. It is easy, free, and conveniently located at a variety of sites throughout the County. Testing and tracing are key tools in stopping the spread of COVID-19.
