I’m hoping most of you saw the headlines last week that Ohio was named the top state for doing business in 2026, a distinction that will surely raise our national profile. I’d like to think that Ohio’s manufacturing resurgence helped drive our strong ranking. As our manufacturing impact document demonstrates, you can’t have a healthy economy without a healthy manufacturing sector.

Despite this success, we can’t take our foot off the gas. There’s always more to be done. Your DRMA team works day-in and day-out to move the needle on workforce development. Whether organizing opportunities to introduce students to careers in manufacturing or working with our WorkAdvance partners, we are constantly pursuing initiatives to improve the regional talent pipeline. Let me know if you want to be part of this effort!

Thanks to the 88 members who filled out the wage survey; data is being compiled, and the report will be available in October. This is an exclusive member benefit; companies that receive the report find it very beneficial in creating their compensation packages and ensuring their offerings are competitive and attractive in the local market.

Volunteering . . . promotes personal growth and self-esteem; strengthens the community; teaches you a lot; gives you a chance to give back; encourages civic responsibility; and provides you a way to make a difference. Want to find out more about volunteering at DRMA? Contact me.

Attention Manufacturer members: Click here to see manufacturing-pertinent resumes I have received.

DRMA would like to congratulate Kate Vriner from Sunbelt Business Advisors of Southwest Ohio on being recognized by the International Business Brokers Association with the Chairman's Circle Award for exceptional achievement in business brokerage. Congrats Kate!
