ESI was commissioned by the
Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia
to evaluate the local economic impact of Green City, Clean Waters, an ambitious initiative of the Philadelphia Water Department that is investing in Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) throughout the City. Our analysis revealed that the local GSI industry is experiencing double-digit annual revenue growth, supporting as many as 430 local jobs, and generating nearly $1 million in City tax revenues yearly.
