The BRIDGE Program is a cohort-based initiative designed to support entrepreneurs by equipping them with the technical knowledge, resources, and personalized guidance necessary to access both debt and equity capital.



Laurel Thrive Small Business Grant


Deadline: Rolling

Funding Amount: $10,000


Specifically for businesses located (or moving) within the City of Laurel, this grant provides foundational capital for new businesses to expand and hire. It is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so early application is highly recommended.

 

Maryland Technology Internship Program (MTIP)


Now Accepting Applications for Fall 2026


Funding Amount:

Up to $5,500 annually per intern


Administered by UMBC and funded by the State of Maryland MTIP helps Maryland retain top tech talent by increasing the number of paid technical internships offered in the state.

Buy Maryland Cybersecurity (BMC) Tax Credit


Deadline: Rolling

Funding Amount: 50% of purchase price (up to $50,000 credit for the buyer)


Qualified Maryland Companies may claim a tax credit for 50% of the net purchase price of cybersecurity technologies and services purchased from a Qualified Maryland Cybersecurity Seller.

 

Maryland Energy Innovation Accelerator (MEIA) Grants


Deadline: Rolling

Funding Amount: Up to $300,000


Supports Maryland-based companies developing innovative clean energy technologies. Funding can be used for early-stage commercialization, pilot projects, and product validation.

 

Build Our Future Grant Program

The program provides matching grants of up to $2 million for innovation infrastructure projects in Maryland's strategic technology sectors — including advanced manufacturing, cybersecurity, life sciences, AI, and more.

TEDCO Awards More Than $753,000 to 2026 Maryland Makerspace Initiative Program Awardees


Created through legislation passed by the Maryland General Assembly, the Makerspace Program provides grants of up to $100,000, along with technical assistance, to eligible entities seeking to establish, expand or enhance makerspaces throughout Maryland. The program supports the growth of a statewide makerspace network that equips entrepreneurs with access to tools, technology and expertise while strengthening workforce development and innovation across the state. This year, a total of more than $753,000 in awards will go to 17 projects located across the state.

TEDCO’s Maryland Innovation Initiative Announces $664,448 Granted to the Latest Baltimore Innovation Initiative Awardees


The BII was created to support an equitable innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem within higher education institutions in the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). As part of Maryland’s matching contribution toward the Baltimore Tech Hub, the BII seeks to advance technology toward commercialization of a product or service and bolster support for entrepreneurs developing technology-based ventures. This round will divide $664,448 amongst 13 awardees.
