Dixson Hosts Career Day
Youngsters had a chance to use equipment that our village's police use on a daily basis.

The district launched a safety app called Anonymous Alerts , an anti-bullying and safety reporting mobile app.
National School Walkout Day Observed by AHHS Students
AHHS students joined millions around the country, rallying against school violence.
Homer and Me Presentation Teaches Important Lessons
Making healthy lifestyle choices was the theme of a fun interactive program held at the Grady School April 29th called "Homer and Me." The program is organized by Kemi Pogue, program director of Home Run Against Drugs.
AHHS Student Named to Medical Conference
Wishing our Retirees the Best of Luck!
Tim Brown, the Grady School's music teacher, Carol Florio, school nurse at the Dixson School, and Rose Marie Giordano, secretary to AHHS Principal Joseph Engelhardt, were all honored at the May 2nd board meeting for their service to the district. We wish them the best of luck on their retirement!
Savallya Boyini, a sophomore at AHHS, has been chosen to be a delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, a three-day event to be held in Massachusetts in June.

The 16-year-old was nominated by Dr. Mario Capecchi, winner of the Nobel Prize in medicine and the science director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists, which sponsors the Congress.

May 15th!
District residents are being urged to come out and cast their vote for the 2018-19 school district budget, the re-election of Board trustees Candice Wood and Dennis Rambaran, as well as the authorization to create a Capital Reserve Fund for the purpose of financing a variety of construction projects in all three schools.
