Budget Vote, May 18
The Budget referendum and Board of Education Election will take place on May 18, 2021 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. in the Alice E. Grady Elementary School music room.

Virtual Cultural Heritage Day
On May 15, 2021 the Elmsford Union Free School District family enjoyed a first-time celebration sharing their own cultural traditions while getting to learn more about others from around the world.

AHHS students were inducted into the National Honor Society and presented with academic awards in a special in-person ceremony for students. Families were able to view the event virtually.

AHHS Drama presented their first-ever radio show

“The Night at Raider Ranch, An Original Audio Play,” was written, performed, and produced by students in the AHHS Theatre program. The first episode in a three-part series, made its debut on May 7.

'Muffins for Moms' goes

In a school year that has been a bit topsy-turvey, staff at the Carl L. Dixson Primary School were not about to let school traditions fall by the wayside. Each year they take time to enjoy “Muffins for Moms,” a breakfast event to celebrate moms and other caretakers in a child’s life.

'BubbleMania' bursts with fun and science
It was all about bubbles on the afternoon of May 5 at the Carl L. Dixson Primary School when Casey Carle, a confirmed “bubble-ologist,” streamed his show to students at the school.

Earth Day brings sustainable garden and commitment to improving the environment 

On Earth Day 2021, which was celebrated on April 22, members of the AHHS GREEN Club and area dignitaries gathered in the school’s courtyard to celebrate. Not only did they recognize the necessity for continued improvements to the environment, but the club revealed its two-year project — a sustainable garden created to promote awareness for the school becoming more eco-friendly. 

Spring has a different feel as students return to in-person instruction
It may be an odd time of year to be thinking about back to school, but it was with a celebratory feeling that students made their way into the classrooms on April 8. It was an event that has not happened regularly since last year and was the kick-off for students returning to school for four-days a week.
