AHHS Class of 2023 told to “enjoy the ride”

The wind caused many graduates to hang on to their mortar boards, at least until the very end when several of them were tossed into the air and taken by the wind to land haplessly on the field.

The toss and subsequent carry-away all added to the party-like festivities of the 2023 Commencement Ceremony held on the Michael Arciola Field at Alexander Hamilton High School on June 21.

AHHS students served on the Westchester County Youth Leadership Task Force

Alexander Hamilton High School student Angela Mathews (bottom row, first from right) was recognized by County Executive George Latimer at a May 15th meeting of the Westchester County Youth Leadership Task Force. The meeting provided an opportunity for the County Executive to thank the students for this year's activities in preventing youth substance use, and hear the students' perspectives on vaping, alcohol, marijuana, and other substance use. Jaleah Nichols also represents Alexander Hamilton High School on the Task Force but was not able to attend the meeting.

Thank you to the PTSA for hosting the 1st Annual Family Fun Night

Rain, lightning and even some hail did not dampen the spirits or spoil the night for students at the Family Fun Night at Alice E. Grady Elementary School on Friday, June 2. They enjoyed fun with friends and special treats on the Grady lawn, on the playground, and in the school cafeteria. Parents purchased raffle tickets for special prizes, including autographed photos, gift cards and generous prize baskets, while the children snacked on popcorn, snow cones, hot dogs, Indian-inspired foods and more! The games, vendors, snacks and raffles were provided by the support of the Elmsford Parent Teacher Student Association.
