Edge is an evocative art exhibition celebrating the raw beauty and resilience of Laguna Beach’s rocky intertidal zone—one of Southern California’s rarest and most fragile ecosystems. Presented during Water Awareness Month, Edge explores the intersection of art, nature, and environmental stewardship through a curated selection of paintings, photography, and sculpture.
This powerful collaboration between the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center and the Laguna Ocean Foundation invites viewers to experience “the edge”—a physical and spiritual space where the earth is reshaped twice a day by tide, wind, and time. A place of evolution. A way of life. A state of mind.

Laguna Beach’s coastal zone is home to one of the richest arrays of marine biodiversity in Southern California, including the exceptionally rare rocky intertidal habitat. Through this exhibit, viewers are invited to see these micro-ecosystems not only as scientific wonders, but as sources of strange, powerful beauty—and as environments worthy of protection.
