PTSA Holiday Faculty & Staff Luncheon: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Help us celebrate our WONDERFUL Faculty and Staff by contributing to our Holiday Luncheon on Friday, December 8. We are seeking cooks, bakers and volunteers. Share your favorite winter meals and help us thank the faculty & staff for all they do! We need your help - please sign up on the attached luncheon sheet and dessert sheet.

Please email Elizabeth Hume with any questions regarding the luncheon and email Sara Blotner and Rachel Glotzer regarding desserts.

• STEM Committee -- Tuesday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Guidance Conference Room. Please contact STEM VP Fan Zhang with any questions or to be included on the STEM contact list.

• ACE Committee -- Wednesday, December 13 at 8 p.m. in the Guidance Conference Room. To be included on the ACE contact list or for more information, contact ACE VP Lesley Alpert-Schuldenfrei.

Candy Sales

Please join us this Friday and every Friday to welcome the weekend with treats!

When: Fridays at 3:07 p.m.

Where: Outside the Admin Building (or just inside the doors during inclement weather)

What: Candy, Chocolate, Chips, and more

Cost: $2 per item, CASH ONLY. All proceeds benefit the PTSA.

Builders Club Clothing Drive

Do you have adult clothing that you don’t need? The Builders Club is running a clothing drive to prepare for their upcoming Midnight Run, helping impoverished people in NYC.  Donations of new or gently used adult winter clothing are greatly appreciated. Fill out this form to have a Builders Club member pick up the donations from your house (must be outside tonight!) or drop off donations at the front of the Admin Building. 

The Builders Club thanks you for your much needed support!

WESEF - Volunteer Judges Needed!

Are you a science professional? Would you like to help the community in a way that supports future scientists and their discoveries? Please consider signing up to be an in-person judge for the Saturday March 16 Westchester Science and Engineering Fair (WESEF)!

Edgemont needs to provide judges so that our students may participate in this wonderful, inspiring yearly event. Judging is fun, informative and most importantly, the best way to ensure a scientifically strong future for our children! Click here for FAQs and more info.

Exciting New Project from the Edgemont School Foundation!

The Edgemont School Foundation is incredibly excited to announce a new capital project in partnership with the District for a major upgrade to the Edgemont High School auditorium. This project is long overdue and, with the support of the community, will provide a great improvement for all theatrical performances, gradewide meetings, teacher meetings, assemblies, and band/chorus/orchestra productions.  

The funds donated by the Edgemont community through ESF will enable:

• The replacement of antiquated sound and lighting equipment
• The installation of soundproofing to enhance acoustics
• Greater aisle accessibility
• Updated fly rigging to allow for multiple scene changes and enhanced learning opportunities
• A refinished stage floor

ZMA Foundation offers NARCAN Training to Adults and Students (must be 18+)

Thursday, December 7

7-8 pm

EHS Auditorium

The ZMA Foundation will be offering multiple NARCAN training classes to adult members of the Edgemont community and Edgemont students (must be 18+). The first class will be held on Thursday, December 7, 7-8 pm in the EHS Auditorium. At the end of the class, emergency NARCAN kits will be distributed to all participants. 

There will be additional training classes next year if you are unable to make this one.
