PTSA Holiday Faculty & Staff Luncheon

The PTSA Annual Holiday Faculty & Staff Luncheon is TODAY! Every year, the PTSA hosts a holiday luncheon for the teachers and staff as a way to thank them for all they do throughout the year. On behalf of the entire Edgemont PTSA, we invite all teachers and staff to a delicious holiday lunch today. Thanks to all our volunteers! And sending a big THANK YOU to our faculty and staff and wishing "happy holidays" to all!

Upcoming Meetings

• PTSA Executive Board -- Friday, December 8 at 8:45 a.m. in the Guidance Conference Room.

• STEM Committee -- Tuesday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Guidance Conference Room. Please contact STEM VP Fan Zhang with any questions or to be included on the STEM contact list.

• ACE Committee -- Wednesday, December 13 at 8 p.m. in the Guidance Conference Room. To be included on the ACE contact list or for more information, contact ACE VP Lesley Alpert-Schuldenfrei.

Candy Sales

Please join us this Friday and every Friday to welcome the weekend with treats!

When: Fridays at 3:07 p.m.

Where: Outside the Admin Building (or just inside the doors during inclement weather)

What: Candy, Chocolate, Chips, and more

Cost: $2 per item, CASH ONLY. All proceeds benefit the PTSA.

Attention Senior Parents: Class of 2024 Lawn Signs

The Class of 2024 is selling lawn signs and graduation materials -- please use this link to place your order through January 15, 2024. Order yours today! Items will be distributed in late winter/early spring.

Toy Drive for Coachman Center

Edgemont representatives of the Westchester Youth Congress are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages living at the Coachman Center, a homeless shelter in White Plains.

Please consider donating a gift for the holiday season. Bins located in the front of the Admin Building. Through December 15.

Edgemont Community Council - Holiday Caroling

Christmas Eve Caroling is an Old Edgemont sing-a-long tradition - all Edgemont families welcome! Sunday, December 24 at 5 pm @ Crane's Pond

Scarsdale Summer Activities Fair

Edgemont parents and students are invited to attend Scarsdale High School PTA's annual Summer Activities Fair on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, 7-9 pm, in the Scarsdale High School cafeteria on Brewster Road. Representatives from a wide variety of summer programs -- including teen travel, pre-college enrichment, community service, internship programs, performing arts, sports, language immersion, outdoor adventure and other specialty camps -- will be on hand to discuss their offerings. Recommended for rising 9th graders and above. Admission is free. Email [email protected] with any questions.

Exciting New Project from the Edgemont School Foundation!

The Edgemont School Foundation is incredibly excited to announce a new capital project in partnership with the District for a major upgrade to the Edgemont High School auditorium. This project is long overdue and, with the support of the community, will provide a great improvement for all theatrical performances, gradewide meetings, teacher meetings, assemblies, and band/chorus/orchestra productions.  

The funds donated by the Edgemont community through ESF will enable:

• The replacement of antiquated sound and lighting equipment
• The installation of soundproofing to enhance acoustics
• Greater aisle accessibility
• Updated fly rigging to allow for multiple scene changes and enhanced learning opportunities
• A refinished stage floor

ZMA Foundation offers NARCAN Training to Adults and Students (must be 18+)

The ZMA Foundation held its first NARCAN training class last night at EHS. If you missed it, don't worry! The ZMA Foundation will be offering multiple NARCAN training classes to adult members of the Edgemont community and Edgemont students (must be 18+). At the end of the class, emergency NARCAN kits will be distributed to all participants.  Future dates for training to be announced soon.
