Join the PTSA for the 2023-2024 school year! | Is your student a theater kid? Do they participate in a club? Do you think they’ll graduate from EHS one day? Then your family is benefiting from the PTSA! We fund programs not covered by the school budget, including student clubs, performances, competitions, field trips, and special events (such as senior forum and graduation), and we are funded entirely by membership dues, contributions, and fundraising proceeds.
You can also pay your PTSA membership dues by check/cash in an envelope left in the PTSA mailbox at the high school. Note that the PTSA is separate from the Elementary PTA and any contributions you may have made at the elementary school level. Thank you for your support!

Nancy Metviner, English teacher
My English teaching career started in 1995 at Lehman High School in the Bronx where I worked for four years. After a one year stint at Lawrence High School on Long Island, I came to Edgemont Junior-Senior High School. My years at Edgemont were some of the most rewarding and enriching of my career because of its diverse and exceptional student body, warm and talented staff, and welcoming and supportive community.

|
From 2006 through this past June I taught in Jaffa, Israel, at Tabeetha School, a small international school that has a unique atmosphere of co-existence, culture, dialogue, languages and learning in the midst of a turbulent geopolitical region. My 6 year old son and I now live in the lower Hudson Valley where we enjoy playing basketball, going on hikes, making art from found objects, and baking zucchini muffins. I feel privileged to have taught and lived in such beautiful settings, and I am honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to return to the Edgemont family.
