The School Act consists of 9 Parts that cover all aspects of our public school system. Each Part has Divisions, three of which are shown below.

BC Independent School Act
The Independent School Act consists of 19 Articles that cover the bricks and mortar schools and the virtual entities, as mentioned below.

Article 4 - Classification of Independent Schools

The amount of the per-student grant available to an independent school is defined in the Independent School Act Regulations.
Group 1 - 50% when its operating costs match those of the local School Board
Group 2 - 35% when its operating costs exceed those of the local School Board
