Featured Digital Resource – GALE PRESENTS: PETERSON'S TEST PREP 
Peterson’s Test Prep is the site to rely on for excellent testing prep. The site contains thousands of online practice exams for high school, college and graduate school, as well as offering career and international prep. We also offer LearningExpress Librarywhich provides free access to additional practice exams, including everything from SAT/ACT exams for high school students to ASVAB tests for those pursuing a career in the military.  

These helpful resources are free with your library card. To check out these resources, visit the Digital Library, then select Gale in Context: Elementary using your 14-digit library card barcode to log in. Please note that these resources are only available with the physical library card, not our digital library card.

FEATURED PROGRAMS FOR THE MONTH
All Ages 
Monday, March 1 – Saturday, April 17 

New year, new financial goals! Take part in the Smart Money Challenge, available on the Beanstack Tracker app on your smartphone or online at pwcgov.org/library, by completing the activities. Not only will you be entered for a drawing for a gift card, you’ll learn how the library can assist you with your financial goals. 
Ages 10 and up 

Come participate in our Hour of Code program. Attendees will learn about the basics of coding while creating their own unique projects. Pick up a kit of screen-free coding activities anytime this week to keep the fun going! Registration required. 

This project is part of the Microsoft Community Challenge, supported by the Microsoft Datacenter Community Development team to build thriving communities in Prince William County, as part of their mission to contribute to long-term social, economic, and environmental health.

How to Get a Library Card 
Show your students how to get a library card with the help of a parent/guardian by telling them to: 

  1. Visit pwcgov.org/library to start the application.  
  2. Follow the prompts for a digital library card.  
  3. To upgrade to a physical library card, call any PWPL branch.  

*Remember: Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian complete the online registration or sign the paper registration.
