A Message from AMTA-NJ Board President - Earline Fair-Edwards
It is Time to start learning new things
We are well into the second month of the brand new year. If 2018 is proving challenging for you, do not fret! Our NJ AMTA community is strong. We are here to support you.
The NJ AMTA Board is dedicated to embracing and meeting any and all challenges that come your way by diligently supporting you the best way we know how - through education and community-building. Our NJ AMTA Chapter and its members continue to grow, evolve, and overcome adversity with grace by consistently learning new skills and supporting one-another in practice.
This year, let us welcome James Waslaski who specializes in Integrated Manual Therapy and Orthopedic Massage! James has chosen to share his unique and innovative techniques with the NJ AMTA Chapter this Spring. See below for more details on how to register for this event!
The AMTA National Convention will be hosted in Washington DC this summer. Our goal is to have 100 New Jersey massage therapists join us! Are you ready to represent our chapter in our nation's capital? Please share any thoughts or ideas you may have regarding carpooling to convention via email at president.amtanj@gmail.com or feel free to contact any NJ AMTA Board member. We can't wait to hear from you!

Manual Therapy to Eliminate Multiple Nerve Compression Pattern of the Upper Body
The current medical system so often confuses severe clinical conditions such as Thoracic Outlet and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. That is because almost every patient that gets treated for either of these conditions will have nerves chronically compressed in multiple areas between the brain, spinal cord, neck, shoulder, and arm. This dynamic multimedia presentation will highlight our cervical, shoulder and arm work to eliminate multiple nerve crush phenomenon.

Manual Therapy to Eliminate Multiple Nerve Crush Phenomenon of the Lower Body
Based on myofascial pain studies presented at Harvard Medical School, and research dating back to 1946, participants will learn new techniques that will forever change the way they approach myofascial pain, and nerve entrapment pain in the lower extremities. Too often the clinical diagnosis will focus too much on the area of clinical symptoms when dealing with peripheral nerve entrapments, without freeing up the proximal nerve entrapments that feed the peripheral nerves.

Please bring your massage tables, oils, and dress comfortably for this event.
