Above: For those people stating that the George Floyd situation is not relevant to the UK ,watch Marcia Rigg speak. In 2008 her brother, Sean Rigg, died in Brixton police station from cardiac arrest after four officers pinned him to the ground, face down, for 8 minutes. The incident is captured on a mobile phone. The IPCC police watchdog waits 6 months to interview the officers and fails to review the police CCTV footage. No officer is convicted.

In April 1998 ,her brother Christopher Alder, an ex paratrooper, chokes to death while half naked on the floor of a Hull police station. His death was filmed on CCTV and was later shown on the BBC. Police officers stand around Christopher while he slowly dies they can be heard laughing and making monkey noises. The officers destroy Christopher's clothing, dry clean their own uniforms and wash out the van he was transported in.

There was a jury verdict of unlawful killing but no police officer went to prison. The officers involved took early retirement with payouts of up to £66,000.00 more information HERE

Dysconscious racism: Ideology, identity, and the mis-education of teachers and students by Professor Joyce King, Benjamin E. Mays Endowed Chair of Teaching, Learning and Leadership at Georgia State University.

Dr King's online lecture will demonstrate the education approach she has developed to deal with the problem of "anti-African" information in schools and our own attitudes and behaviours in Diaspora communities in the US and elsewhere. This approach includes using Songhoy history, culture and language-based education interventions.
