Dear PCA Parents & Friends,

We have reached the end of week #1 for our new Distance Learning platform. We want to thank you all for your diligence as you navigate this new normal as a family. You've done a fantastic job this week, and we have been so blessed to see the pictures and videos of your students learning at home. Thank you for your patience as we work to streamline our processes. We will be continually looking for ways to make improvements and keep your children learning during this time.

We also want to thank you for your patience as you wade through the many emails you're receiving from us (and every other organization that you've ever done business with). Please continue to read our emails as they are the best way to ensure that you don't miss important information from the school. In return, we want you to know that we are working to streamline those emails to make it easier for you!

We are meeting daily as a team to respond to new challenges that arise.
One such challenge came on the scene today with a statement from the Michigan Department of Education stating that online instructional time will not apply toward educational hours. Thankfully, this does not apply to private schools. Plymouth Christian and other private schools in Michigan have the power to determine the time and quality of instruction needed to meet academic requirements during this time. Our teachers and staff have been working tirelessly preparing and delivering a robust distance learning program that will most certainly count toward our student's educational hours.

Getting students positioned to continue their education was an essential first step. Going forward, please note that your student will be marked "present" every day for attendance. If your child is ill and unable to complete their assignments, please notify PCA by emailing us at (this email will be activated over the weekend)

I am praying for you through this time of unrest and uncertainty.

In Him,
Caryn Huntsman

Truly my soul finds rest in God;
     my salvation comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
     he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
Psalm 62: 1-2
