PCEF Excellent Educator Program

Funded by the Louis and Doilney Families

&

The Sarah & Stephen Doilney Award

In 1996, Jim Doilney and PCEF created the Excellent Educator Awards as a way to honor the educators in the Park City School District.

Jim was inspired by his mother - who was a teacher! The Louis Family joined the endeavor in 2019, and it's still going strong in 2023.

This year, we celebrated YOU, our Park City educators, with:

  • Excellent Educator Reveal → Every school's teachers, staff, & admin vote for their Excellent Educator. Winners were surprised with a school-planned celebration.
  • A Sweet Treat  Every single one of PCSD's employees makes a difference for our students, so every single one received a caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
  • Free Entry into Running with Ed  We've heard many times that RWE is the favorite event of PC's teachers. Traditionally, school employee registration fee is $50, but thanks to the Doilney and Louis families, it was free for all PC educators this year!

The Louis and Doilney families sponsor the Excellent Educator Program because they know how critical educators are in shaping the next generation of leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. Their children, and now grandchildren, go to PCSD schools.

Thank you, Excellent Educators

PCEF’s Classroom Grants Committee is reviewing Classroom Grant applications from so many of you!

Applicants will be personally notified of Classroom Grant status at the end of this month.

Thank you for your dedication to this work. Seeing the innovative, thoughtful, and creative ideas you have fills our hearts with joy and reminds us, yet again, how lucky we are to have the guidance of Park City's Excellent Educators.
"The food and socialization was good for the soul, and
being able to connect with teachers both within my
own school and at other schools was so great...

I learned a lot from talking to educators and I feel
like I walked away with things I could begin
to think about and apply immediately."
Nearly 100 of you attended the first-ever PCEF Ideas for Impact Summit & Social. Teachers from all PCSD schools were given time and room to gather, discuss, demonstrate, network, and socialize.

It was so great to see nearly 200 of you at Running with Ed - the year's most joyful celebration of YOU!

Thanks to the Louis and Doilney families, Running with Ed registration was FREE for all PCSD employees this year!

Be sure to watch the PCEF Facebook page for tons of photos over the next two weeks. The first album is up already.

Thanks to our community, over $350,000 was raised with the proceeds going to our Classroom Grants program! Shout out to the Tullis family (McPolin educators) who raised over $4,000 themselves!
