NATIVE AMERICAN BASKET WEAVING DEMONSTRATIONS RETURN
Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of the Month!
After a year and half hiatus, the Mission is pleased to welcome back regular, onsite basket weaving demonstrations on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Native American traditions are alive and well at Mission San Juan Capistrano thanks to a small group of basket weavers who have maintained the art of basket weaving.

The Mission would like to thank our Native American Basket Weaving Volunteers including Teeter Marie Olivares Romero, Ellen Sue Olivares, Susie Fimbres, and Wanda Jo Gennaro for demonstrating the art of basket weaving at the Mission. Their efforts are an integral part of the Mission's efforts to celebrate the history and traditions of the local Achachemen people.
