Immigrant Voice
Writing from the heart

Foreign-born students are working hard to master English as a tool that they can use to truly express themselves. This essay by Yvens , a Haitian-born, former ILC student, is a testament to the courage it takes to learn a new language and make it your own.
Help us to continue our unique work of recognizing the contributions of immigrants through research, public education and annual awards.
