Prescription Benefits through OptumRx
HWMG, third-party administrator for HMAA and Charter Communications’ (formerly Oceanic Time Warner Cable) medical and drug plans, is pleased to announce that OptumRx will be our new Pharmacy Benefits Manager effective January 1, 2019. We will issue new ID cards to all affected members. There will be no change to member ID numbers.
Our prescription formulary will change to the OptumRx Preferred Drug List and may result in a current drug being excluded from the new list or a change in copayment. Please view the updated list and update your Administrative Manual accordingly. The formulary will be updated annually and is available at hwmg.org and hmaa.com.
Upon policy renewal, HMAA groups will receive updated 2019 versions of their medical and prescription drug plan documents. For your reference, these documents may be obtained through your Online for Providers account or at hmaa.com/plandocuments.
