The Efficient and Healthy Schools Program honorees were recognized at the 2024 White House Summit for Sustainable and Healthy K-12 School Buildings and Grounds: Equity, Learning, Health, and Climate, held on April 26, 2024.

Over 90 students, teachers, advocates, school administrators, facilities and grounds experts, and labor leaders came together alongside the U.S. Department of Energy and other agencies to discuss deployment of the unprecedented levels of federal funding available.

From leveraging federal resources to fostering equity and resilience, the summit showcased leaders from school districts, labor partners, NGOs, and the private sector to talk about the K-12 transition to sustainable and healthy learning environments.
