Rob
Rather than writing about Rob in prose, it’s easier to make a quick list of most things him. Likely, something important is left off. Don’t judge.
DISNEY: Visiting Disney Parks (Yes, both coasts…though Disneyland Resort is his favorite), Disney Movies (Classic Animated, Pixar, Star Wars [NOTE…not a sequels jumper-onner, post Disney acquisition…Rob was there on opening day in 1977 and has been a hardcore SW nerd since – even has all his original Star Wars toys], Marvel, and formal recognition to Disney’s Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures eras. Disney collecting: figurines and collectibles, parks memorabilia, pins, animation cells, and artwork. And Disney Music…Sherman Brothers = pure genius. Walt Disney is Rob’s hero and a major source of inspiration for him.
SPORTS: NFL (Dallas Cowboys – lifelong fan…Rob has matured over the years and has since forgiven Joe Montana and Dwight Clark)…now don’t go and be haters. Baseball – Chicago Cubs (see other entry under lifelong fan), American Association (Go Moo), NCAA, and High School. Rob has (at times) been referred to as Robby Baseball, so there. Fastpitch Softball…greatness. NCAA Football (All things SEC, but mostly Alabama). Hockey (Chicago Blackhawks). NASCAR (when it was what it was). Rob is learning to wrap his arms around Pickleball. Not really.
FAMILY: Rob enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and two kids…and traveling with them – mostly to Disney Parks and Resorts (catch a theme here?).
FAMILY DOG: Larry – he’s a French Bulldog with an Instagram. And has nearly 4k followers…the reality of living with a semi-famous dog.
FRIENDS: Blessed.
STEAK: Not super picky on cuts, just need it to be delicious, and medium rare. Always medium rare.
MUSIC: Everything and in no particular order. Rob’s taste in music is literally as eclectic as it gets. His playlists and radio presets are musically all over the place. No rules whatsoever…just must be great. Little known fact, Rob was a Music Business Major in college. And an excellent drummer. He’s got stories. And hey, it’s paid off HUGE for him in the world of recruiting! Just go with it.
CHRISTMAS: When Rob isn’t Robby Baseball, he may (or may not) have been referred to as “Captain Christmas”. The whole season – it’s magical for him. Rob enjoys Christmas decorating, food, music, movies (PUT THAT COOKIE DOWN!!!…iykyk), if it’s Christmas, it’s Rob. Time to put the tree up and tunes on yet? Oh yeah, and visiting Disney Parks…during the Christmas season, of course!
