UCNS congratulates eight subspecialty fellowship programs and their program directors in achieving UCNS accreditation effective June 1, 2021. Programs attaining UCNS accreditation status offer the core curriculum established by the subspecialty and meet required quality standards established by UCNS and the subspecialty. There are now 218 UCNS-accredited training programs in UCNS-recognized subspecialties. View the list of newly accredited programshere.

UCNS C-cert Activities Approved for ABPN Self-Assessment Credits
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) has reviewed the UCNS Continuous Certification (C-cert) activities and has approved the 2021 program as a part of a comprehensive self-assessment (SA) program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of maintenance of certification.
Diplomates will now have the opportunity to claim up to 11 ABPN SA credits in addition to up to 11 AMA PRA Category 1 credits after completing the 2021 C-cert requirements and passing their subspecialty quiz. More information is available at www.ucns.org/News.
Certification Comment Period Open for Interventional Neurology
Physicians practicing in the neurologic subspecialty of Interventional Neurology subspecialty and sponsoring and parent organization members are invited to comment on the proposed Interventional Neurology Certification Examination content outline and certification eligibility requirements. Comments will be accepted through Monday, July 12, 2021.

UCNS certifications have been approved to be included in the list of certifications in theBetterDoctorphysician profile system. Article submissions will be accepted through July 31, 2021, and are considered in the selection process for inclusion in the C-cert annual reading list that will be released in early 2022.
