KNOXVILLE, TN, Sept. 15 - Across the nation, the trucking industry is taking the week of September 13-19, 2020, to honor the millions of professional truck drivers who deliver America’s freight safely and securely every day.
Great West Casualty Company’s Knoxville office will join the Tennessee Trucking Association in hosting a Truck Driver Appreciation event to say 'thank you' to the more than 32 million truck drivers moving America forward every day.
Great West will provide 300 free lunches and goodie bags for drivers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Tennessee DOT weigh station on Interstate 40 westbound west of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Trucking is vital to our economy. Without drivers, receiving everyday goods such as medicine, food, fuel, building materials, and much more would not be possible.

As expected, the official notice announcing the mandatory federal guidelines for the use of hair testing from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) was made public this afternoon. 2020 Raffle Tickets Sales Are Essential This Year!
This year has been a real challenge for the Foundation to have revenue generated activities. Raffle Ticket sales are our last chance to generate revenue for this unprecedented year. Here is the link where you can purchase your tickets. Even though not all the Road Team Captains will be attending convention this year, we are still going to have the ticket sales contest. For every 10 tickets they sell, they get a free ticket. You may purchase on line or you can call the TTA office at (615) 777-2882, or email Catherine Stuart at cstuart@tntrucking.org. If you purchase online and want to support a favorite Captain, you can put the Captain's name in the "Note" section on the online form. If you call the office to purchase, just make sure you give the Captains name when you make your purchase.
We can also take your name for your future purchase. You won’t be invoiced until the month you want to be called for purchase up to November 1st. We will be contacting those of you who have purchased in the past to give you the opportunity to purchase your tickets. You will receive the tickets once they have been invoiced and payment is received. Our goal is to sell out the tickets early so we don’t go to the last minute wondering if all tickets will sell. Raffle proceeds benefit the Tennessee Trucking Foundation's Highway Safety Education Programs. This program has really grown over the past few years. Our 29 Road Team Captains now have safety presentations for ages from kindergarten up to our aging population. We know that once our Nation recovers from the pandemic, they will be back in the schools, senior citizen centers, and public events across the state. Please help with this fundraiser so they can continue to save lives in Tennessee.
