Backpack Blessing

A blessing will be offered at ALL SUNDAY MASSES for EVERYONE beginning school—students, teachersand staff. Students may bring backpacks or a special item to be blessed or wear school spirit wear as we look forward to a fruitful school year. As we enter a new year, remember always God’s love in our lives! 

Dominican Sisters of St. Joseph

August 2/3 | All Masses

Dominican Sisters of St. Joseph will be visiting our parish and offering religious items for sale in the vestibules before and after all Masses. All proceeds go toward building a Catholic School in Bulacan, Philippines—helping plant seeds of faith and learning across the 

globe. Stop by, say hello and support this joyful mission!

Early Childhood Orientation

August 7 | 5pm, Kindergarten | 6pm PreSchool

Join us for a warm welcome and a closer look at our early childhood programs! Families with students entering Kindergarten are invited at 5pm, and those with 3- or 4-year-old Preschoolers at 6pm.

Education begins at age 3! Come meet our amazing teachers, explore our classrooms and discover how our Queen of the Rosary School could be the perfect fit for your family!

Missionary Co-op Appeal

The Redemptorists are a Catholic congregation of missionaries who preach the gospel of Jesus especially to the poor.  They strive to imitate the virtues and examples of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. They are also 

the special caretakers of the Icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Rome. They will be visiting OLBS for this year's Missionary Co-op Appeal and sharing their message at all Masses. Please use the envelopes provided or follow this link to support this year's Missionary Co-op Appeal.

Solemnity of the Assumption

Catholics believe that God assumed Mary’s body into heaven. Pope Pius XII declared the assumption a dogma of the faith in 1950 to remind us that creation is good, following years of war, Holocaust and nuclear destruction. Creation is good. We are good. Ministry of Care Training

The Archdiocese of Chicago is offering Minister of Care Training on Friday, September 6, from 8:30am to 4:30pm (check-in at 8am) in LaGrange. This one-day training prepares you to bring the healing presence of Christ to the homebound, hospitalized and those in care facilities. Free of charge, but space is limited.

Annual Catholic Appeal: Together We Bring Hope

Thank you for your support!

This year’s theme for the Annual Catholic Appeal is Together we bring hope. It echoes the theme of the Holy Year Pilgrims of Hope. It also resonates with our efforts of renewal in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Contributions to the Appeal are an effective way to bring hope into our world, especially to those in need.

A portion of donations above our parish goal is returned to us and used for special parish projects. Thanks to past generosity, we've upgraded sound systems, security cameras and installed narthex screens. We'll soon begin restroom upgrades at both churches with proceeds from last year’s campaign!

This year’s rebate helps upgrade our playground, used year-round by both parish and school—let’s make it happen together!
