In celebration of National Work Zone Awareness Week (April 26 – 30), the Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security is encouraging everyone to participate in “ Go Orange Day” on April 28. The purpose of “Go Orange Day” is to wear orange in support of families who lost loved ones in work zone crashes.
Here are two options for participation in “Go Orange Day.”
1 – Email a photo of yourself wearing orange to Arriale.Tabson@tn.gov by Friday, April 23. We will post your photo to social media on Wednesday, April 28. You must be wearing a mask in your photo, and you must be the only person in the photo. Please do not send group photos. If you would like to send photos of your team, please send me individual photos of your team members, and each person must be wearing a mask. Let me know if you have any questions about this.
OR
2 – Wear orange on Wednesday, April 28, and post a selfie on your own social media using hashtag #Orange4Safety. Please make sure you are wearing a mask in your selfie.
On April 28, we will share everyone’s photos on social media using the hashtag #Orange4Safety. Or, you can wear orange to work on April 28 and post a selfie on your own social media.
