Dear Eighth Grade Families,

We are excited to celebrate the Class of 2027 and their promotion to high school on Wednesday, June 7! We know this is an exciting time for our eighth graders and families, and we look forward to celebrating with you.

This event is for all eighth grade students, families and friends. No tickets are required.

Students should arrive between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and a reception will be held 7:15 - 8 p.m. under the tent between the Athletic Pavilion and the Commons.

The promotion ceremony celebrates an important milestone in the lives of our students and we ask that students dress appropriately for this significant school event. Student attire at the ceremony is professional dress with the following guidelines:

  • Dresses, shorts and skirts should fall close to the knee
  • Dresses or tops with straps that do not appropriately cover the shoulders or chest will require a sweater or jacket
  • Shoes must be clean and comfortable to walk in
  • Denim should not be worn
  • Clothing with large logos should not be worn

Pictures of Eighth Grade Students Needed by May 10

A much-loved tradition at our Eighth Grade Promotion is the slideshow with pictures of every eighth grade student. Each eighth grade family is asked to submit three photos of their student. Photo requirements and guidelines are listed below. Please submit your photos to the appropriate volunteer email. Also, please include your student’s name as you would like announced at the ceremony.

Guidelines for Pictures:

  • Photos should be 1MB or larger in size and in .jpg or .png formats only; no screenshots or screengrabs, and no hard copy photos
  • Photos should showcase the student only, no family or friends; we want to keep the focus on each student
  • The choice of pictures is entirely up to you, but most families opt for a baby picture, a toddler/young child/elementary school picture and a more recent picture
