Prayer for Pope Francis

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: comfort and relieve your sick servant,

Francis and give your power of healing to those who minister to his needs,

that he may be strengthened in his weakness and have confidence in your loving

care. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

📰 News

Thank You to the Communications Committee

We’re excited to introduce a fresh look to our website and newsletter. Thanks to everyone who was involved in renaming our e-newsletter with suggestions and voting. In choosing this new name, we are rooting it in Cardinal Newman's prayer, "The Mission of My Life," which invites us to be "a bond of connection between persons." And a special thanks to the Communications Committee, Brigida Munoz, Jason Manske, Brenda Becker, Yvonne Jeanniton, and Sean Yetter, for helping shepherd the website project. Great job! In the Oratory Connection, you’ll be informed, inspired, and connected with what’s going on at St. Boniface and Assumption Parishes. Thanks for being a vital connection in our community—let’s stay connected!

Stewardship for 2025

Recently, all registered parishioners received a letter from Fathers Mark Paul and Anthony discussing stewardship for the year ahead, financial statements for both parishes, and a stewardship commitment form. Thanks to all those who have returned this form. If you have not done so already, we ask that all members of the parishes prayerfully consider their level of financial support, as this will help greatly with budgetary planning. If you did not receive this mailing, please contact the parish office so we can send a new one.

Wednesday, March 5, both parishes

✝️ Ash Wednesday Marks the

Beginning of Lent

We are invited to enter into this sacred time to renew our lives through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving (works of charity.) We do this in the hope that when Easter comes, we can better greet the Risen Christ with hearts that are more joyful, more pure, and more open to Him and the needs of others. As we receive the imposition of ashes, we remember our common frailty and humanity. May the grace of this act also help us to renew our commitment to Christ as we turn away from sin and become more faithful to His Gospel. Click here for the full schedule.

📕 Lenten Daily Reflections Booklet

Lenten booklets containing daily reflections will be available in both churches. A limited number in Spanish are also available.

POSTPONED Women in the Church Lecture

In light of the many challenges that continue to arise with great urgency for all charitable enterprises in this national moment, the Women in the Church Presentation by Kerry Robinson (President of Catholic Charities USA) will be postponed until the fall. We will share more information as it is available. We can all be very proud of the work done by Catholic Charities locally here in the Diocese of Brooklyn and in the other 160+ offices in dioceses across the country. We encourage your prayers for all those working to ensure that those in greatest need continue to receive care and attention.
