Our Home-School Partnership

Dear Eisenhower Families,

With the first few weeks of school already underway,

I just wanted to take a few moments to discuss our

Home-School Partnership. Whether it is signing up on Seesaw, following us on Twitter/"X", volunteering in your child's classroom, helping our PTO with outstanding events, attending parent night and parent-teacher conferences, we want you to always feel welcome and able to contribute to our school community efforts and your child's growth & learning.

One example of our Home-School Partnership is our variety of family engagement events that we have for our families. If you would like to volunteer for one of these opportunities please contact me at (847) 870-5040 or llambatos@d23.org

Early Childhood

Our littlest Eagles are making new friends and well on their way to an extraordinary year of learning! Our high level of support helps to ensure that students are making growth.

Kindergarten

Over the last two weeks, our kindergarteners have done an outstanding job adapting to new routines and procedures. More importantly, they are engaged in their learning and having a great time with their teachers and classmates.

First Grade

First grade is off to a great start! They are performing wonderfully in small and whole group discussions, while taking turns leading activities and learning new responsibilities. We are quite proud of how they are engaging with one another.

Century Book Club

Century Book Club Readers!

The Principal's Century Book Club is a listing of children who read multiples of one hundred books during their years at Eisenhower School.

*Books can be read by parents or enjoy a shared reading with your child. Take turns, use voices, and, most importantly, have fun!

Remember to ask plenty of comprehension questions and discuss new vocabulary words!

Your child’s name will be added to the front foyer wall when they read their first one hundred books. Their name continues to be added with each 100 books they read.

Students will also receive a special prize from the office.

Books should be at the child’s reading level, and left to parent’s discretion.

Setting aside 20-minutes a night for family reading with or to your child makes a world of difference.
