A Summer of Service
The summer is almost over. The leaves are beginning to change and the air will soon turn cooler. As we look back over the last few months we can say, "What an amazing God we have who has produced so much fruit in his kingdom in Port Orchard." We have let our light shine so that people have seen our good works and gave glory to our Father in heaven! What did God do this Summer?
He worked at the Food Bank. He worked in peoples yards. He moved furniture. He mowed grass. He sold t-shirts, baked goods, raffle tickets, bottled water at a car show. He raised money for tiny houses for the homeless. He built tiny houses for the homeless. Again and again and again and again! He saw knew people come into his kingdom! He saw us connect with new people at fair grounds, on beaches, in parks, on downtown Bay Street, in parking lots and back yards. He saw us pray together, have ladies' tea together, camp together, fish together, bbq together, eat together, worship together and share our needs together. We continued to learn what it meant to live together in community. The summer may be almost over but a busy Fall is just about to begin. There will be many opportunities to connect with people in our community. It's just the rhythm of our life. Living among people who need to know Jesus demands for us to do all we can to seek out opportunities to love them into a relationship with the Savior.

Thank You to Our Partners for Helping us Build Cottages For the Homeless
Last week the Grace Bible Church partnered with the Homes For All project to build three tiny cottages for the new village for homeless. It is encouraging to see so many churches, businesses and service organizations step up and make the commitment to serve in this ministry. Almost 50 people gathered together on Saturday morning Aug. 19th to begin the construction of three cottages. They are still under construction with one already roofed! They will hold a painting party to complete their three cottages in the next few weeks. Thank you to the leadership of their church pastor, Ken Farmen, for his passion to participate in this work.

Drop by and enjoy the afternoon with her and her family!
