Real Sacrifice- Giving it All
Our Founding Father's signed a Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776 and committed their personal lives to a movement dedicated to freedom. As they signed that document of independence did they anticipate the eventual sacrifices that their families, properties, estates and businesses who eventually experience? Their personal commitment to freedom came with a cost and would not be an easy road. Many lost sons and family members to the revolution. Many lost lands and homes to the British response. Their commitment to liberty radically changed their lives and no one escaped unscathed. So as we reflect this Forth of July weekend on sacrifice and our nation, let us also consider our personal commitment to the mission of Jesus and his calling to change the world and make disciples! We are not called to be in comfort and to live an isolated life disconnected from the world's issues and problems. We are called to radically invest ourselves into the culture and into the lives of hurting people. This is what it means to follow Jesus and to make real sacrifices for him!

4th of July BBQ- Bell Home
On Monday, the 4th of July, we will hold our annual all Ekklesia BBQ. We will meet again this year at the Bell home at 1pm for BBQ salmon and ribs. Everyone is encouraged to bring a side dish to share. Bring lawn chairs and yard games. We will not be staying later for any fireworks.
Bell home: 7800 Square Lake Rd. SW- Port Orchard

Kids Park Day
During the summer many of our Ekklesia families have decided to gather together for a day of fun in a local Port Orchard park. Last week we gathered on Wednesday at Horseshoe Lake Park. The next outing is yet to be planned but stay tuned for the next park day!

Serving at Sandy's Home
On Sunday five Ekklesia workers helped load up a truck with more debris from Sandy's home as we continued our cleaning efforts. It is such a blessing to help out this widow who lost her husband last year to cancer. It is our desire to continue supporting Sandy as she struggles to move forward in her life.

Thank you
It's summer time in Port Orchard. This means it going over 80 degrees! We are thankful for opportunities to serve people in the name of Jesus. Every week we meet new people in our community that are interested in our mission. May the Spirit open doors for us to walk through and may we be ready to jump! Thank you to all our friends and supporters who have faithfully provided financial support and prayers for us. God is making some amazing things happen!
