We are the Church Jesus built! The word "Church" in the original language of the Bible was Ekklesia, which means "Called Out" and that is our purpose! We are called out into our community to spread the love of Jesus by sharing, helping, and giving aid to all in need. This is not easy but it is certainly the purpose and mission of what Jesus called his "ekklesia" or church. Intentional partnership with local organizations and ministries is our calling. If God is doing something in this community, we need to be there supporting that effort. We believe God is working in local churches through feeding programs, in women's and men's shelters providing housing to the homeless, in para-church organizations like Coffee Oasis providing aid to needy youth, in Food Banks like our own South Kitsap Helpline which provides supplementary food items on a regular basis to over a thousand family units in our area. If our city is producing a community event, we need to be there. We need to be in the farmers market and local car shows. Wherever people gather in the market place of life, the Ekklesia needs to be there as salt and light in a confused world! This is the mission of the Ekklesia/Church in our community. Are you ready to get involved in the mission of God? He is already at work and simply invites his people to join in as his ambassadors of love and mercy.

We are so blessed to be working on this mission called Ekklesia! We work in people's yards, pack food at the food bank and dream with county administrators about building tiny house villages for the homeless! It is such a good time to be participating in Jesus' Kingdom. Thank you to all our friends and supporters who have faithfully provided financial support and prayers for us. God is making some amazing things happen!
