Service Sunday This Week- May 22nd
On Sunday, May 22nd Ekklesia workers will again be going out after our worship gathering to serve the community in several locations. One group will gather food donations at a grocery store. Another group will again be going to Sandy's home to clean the yard,  trim bushes, and haul off debris. Both areas of service will be appropriate for children or older adults. Let's remember that we are on mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Remember what Jesus said, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Some of the Ekklesia workers trimming bushes in Sandy's back yard a few weeks ago. Everyone should bring gloves, lopers, hand clippers and other yard tools.

Ekklesia Volunteers Served the Food Bank
Last Saturday, May 14th, a group of Ekklesia volunteers worked at the food bank unloading postal delivery trucks and packed boxes full of the donated food. In all over 15,000 lbs of food came in and we helped pack it. It is always such a blessing to know that so many people will be helped by this new supply of donated food. This is one of Jesus' commands, that is to feed the hungry.

Imagine Building a Tiny House Village for the Homeless
A wonderful opportunity is developing and soon will take flight. Be praying for the partnership that is forming between Ekklesia Church, Kitsap County, Georgia's House Women's Shelter, many churches, community leaders, and supporters. This ministry is taking shape and God is going to do something very big in Port Orchard! A tiny house village is forming with room for 20+ tiny house structures. What a wonderful opportunity to serve the least of God's children here in South Kitsap County. Take a look at what happened a few years ago in Eugene, OR and how the Opportunity Village developed. Their web site www.squareonevillages.org has a great video produced by PBS that explains the whole ministry. We'll show this video on Sunday morning at the Ekklesia gathering!

Family Retreat-
May 27-29
The family retreat at Ocean Shores is next weekend! May 27-29th. Please let Tim know if you are interested in going to the ocean for the weekend. This will be a great time to relax, walk with God, pray and just spend some good time with other fellow believers. You won't regret going!

Thank you
Our life on mission in the Ekklesia church has been filled with amazing new friends and surprises every month! God's goodness and his ability to create blessings on our community just keeps us in awe of Him. God is the creator of all good things and we just need to get involved with what he's doing. Thank you to all our faithful supporters for your continued prayers and financial support.
