May 13th- 8am Tiny Home Building Party
A Ministry That is Going Viral!
Ekklesia Church will be building the first two prototype tiny houses for the new Tiny Homes Village planned for South Kitsap by our county administrators. Commissioner Charlotte Garrido is so excited that Ekklesia stepped up to make the first two prototypes. She is planning on attending the build party next Saturday and will also have the local cable channel videographer present to record our work and produce a video. Over the last two weeks Tim Blair has been tasked by the county commissioner to advertise this new project among the many churches in South Kitsap. It is our goal to raise support among the churches so that others will step up and sponsor the construction of more tiny homes for the homeless. So far, Tim has spoken with eight church leaders that have all expressed an interest in partnering with this new project. It is our hope that on Saturday the 13th while our two crews are constructing the tiny homes many other people, service organizations and churches will step up and commit to participate in this project. We will need funds to not only build twelve tiny houses but to also renovate the two donated portables from South Kitsap High School. These two portables will be used to house the community kitchen and eating area along with a community bathroom facility. tepped forward and committed to building two tiny homes for the homeless on Saturday, May 13th. The First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard has also committed to join us that day and will also purchase one of the prototype tiny house kits. The build party will occur in the parking lot in front of
