Blessing Katy's Mission
On Sunday this week, September 18th, the "That One Place" restaurant will host a breakfast fund raiser for Katy Stefanoff and her World Race Mission. Katy will be in training and fund raising over the next few months in preparation for her departure in January 2017 to visit eleven countries over eleven months. The Breakfast this Sunday will be hosted by Craig and Evalina Kenady and their  restaurant in hopes to raise funds for Katy's trip. The breakfast will be served between 10am and 12noon. Many in the community will be coming! In order to assist Katy with this mission fund raiser Ekklesia will have an abbreviated gathering on Sunday from 10am until 11am. Everyone able to help with Katy's mission is encouraged to have breakfast at the restaurant following our gathering at 11am.

Where: 1386 Lund Ave. That One Place restaurant

Cost: $10.00 suggested donation per person or by donation for families

Let's help Katy prepare for her amazing year on the road around the world!

Helpline Food Bank- Needs Our Help
At Thanksgiving and Christmas every year our South Kitsap Helpline Food Bank feeds over 5,000 people each holiday. That's around 5,000 people at Thanksgiving and 5,000 again at Christmas time. Each year the food bank advance purchases the turkeys and hams for the holiday season through their wholesale connection at a local Albertsons. They spend around $17,000 to $20,000 for this order of turkeys and hams! This year the food bank experienced some major expenditures during the summer to repair broken equipment on site at their food bank. At this time the food bank does not have the funds to purchase the needed turkeys and hams for the upcoming holidays! On Thursday of this week, Ekklesia put out a call for help to all the churches in the South Kitsap area. It is our hope to help raise this large sum of money in the next few weeks so that the food bank will be able to feed the 5,000 at Thanksgiving and again at Christmas. It sounds like something Jesus would have done if he had 5,000 people to feed!
Tiny House Homeless Village Update
We will have another meeting with the Habitat for Humanity people and KCR next Thursday. We will continue to discuss details about the use of the Sidney Rd. property that is owned by Habitat. We will open up our meetings in the next few weeks as we move toward the acquisition of structures that will be housing homeless people. God is opening many doors and the village logistics are coming together! Amen....Please pray for us to be led by the Spirit through every decision and that our efforts will be surrounded in protection by God.

Ministry is filled with opportunities. Lisa and I are grateful to have been given this ministry to the Port Orchard community as new people come into our lives to serve and love. We continue to be blessed with the knowledge that so many of you are praying for us. Thank you for your support.
