Aaron Hanson will Teach
on Sunday, September 11th at our worship gathering. Aaron will be home from North Dakota for a few weeks!

If you have a question about faith or the Bible, share your question with Aaron at the following link:

He will answer some of these questions during his teaching time on Sept. 11th.
Leaving Home to Go On Mission
Many Ekklesia partners have made great sacrifices to be a part of the mission to serve and bless South Kitsap. Some have left their comfort zones of familiar churches, others have left family connections and others have left familiar rhythms of life to be a part of a group of mission minded people who want to build God's Kingdom by blessing others and serving the community.

A new family is coming to Ekklesia in a few weeks all the way from Huntsville, Alabama. The Waite family has prayed for five years to to participate in a mission somewhere and have decided to come to Port Orchard to live with the Ekklesia people and join us in serving our community. They want their three children to experience being "ON MISSION" so they sold their home in Huntsville and bought a travel trailer! They are now on the road visiting a few spots across America and will arrive in about two weeks time. Let's pray for Scott and Holly Waite and their three children Kanon (12), Josie (10), and Brody (7). The Waite family hopes to be involved with the core of our community mission projects. We will plug them in as part of our team and will certainly be blessed and taught in many ways by their own giving spirit! Scott and Holly understand that being on mission for Jesus requires sacrifice and this is what they have done. They have left family, a great neighborhood, a thriving Physical Therapy practice, a loving church, many friends and a comfortable home to live in a travel trailer in Port Orchard, Washington for a year! Let us all take their example to heart as we follow Jesus in our own way.

Opportunities to Serve This Week
1. Needy Family- moved into Rick Bell's Bremerton Duplex last week. A mom, dad, 6 year old boy and baby moved in with only a bed. They received a load of furniture last week! They still need a twin bed or bunk bed for their 6 year old son's room.
2. Back to School Supplies- new Ekklesia member Marena Woodbury has four children returning to school next week. She will have one kindergartner, one first grader, one second grader and one fifth grader. To access the on-line supply list for Orchard Heights School see-

Marena and Victor- with their five children at the 4th of July picnic

  Tiny House Homeless Village Update
We will be having another meeting next week with the Habitat For Humanity organization that is partnering with Ekklesia to begin the development of a tiny house homeless village. We will also begin having meetings with many local pastors and church leaders who will partner with this new ministry. We will need many volunteers to work in the homeless village.  As the partnerships and commitments with other organizations solidify we will being laying out more details. It is truly amazing how God has put together so many people with the same concern to help the needy. He is the one orchestrating this project and he will make it happen. Please pray for us to be led by the Spirit through every decision and that our efforts will be surrounded in protection by God.

Thank you
Ministry is filled with opportunities. Lisa and I are grateful to have been given this ministry to the Port Orchard community as new people come into our lives to serve and love. We continue to be blessed with the knowledge that so many of you are praying for us. Thank you for your support.
