Waite Family in Denver
The Waite family is now resting in Denver for a few days with family as they make their way across America. They are a family of five who have committed to be a part of the Ekklesia mission for the next year. Pray for their safe travels and anticipated arrival in Port Orchard in a few weeks.

What Do You Believe?
Do you believe that Jesus is the only Savior of the world? many don't
Do you believe that the Bible is God's true message to us? many don't
Do you believe that there is an afterlife and a place called heaven?
Do you believe that there will be a judgement for all people?

These are clear beliefs that many people today do not follow or even allow to direct their lives. On Sunday morning, September 11th Aaron Hanson will be visiting Port Orchard and will share with the Ekklesia church some clear answers to many hard questions about simple belief. Aaron grew up on the Kitsap Peninsula with his family and developed a deep faith in Jesus and in the Words of God found in the Bible. His journey into deep faith took many years and many hard questions to establish his own foundation of belief. Aaron will share on Sunday his deep faith and his reasons for believing in God.

Katy's World Race In Missions
On Sunday, September 18th many Ekklesia people and friends of Katy Stefanoff will have an opportunity to bless her fund to support her year long mission to eleven countries over eleven months beginning in January, 2017. Katy will be having a breakfast on Sunday September 18th at That One Place restaurant (10am-12noon) to raise funds for her mission. Craig Kenady and his lead chef Jeff will be fixing breakfast! Ekklesia will have an abbreviated gathering on the 18th at the Parkwood Club (10-11am) and then encourage our members to attend the breakfast fundraiser at That One Place restaurant. Let's help Katy prepare for her amazing year on the road around the world!

  Tiny House Homeless Village Update
We had several great meetings on Thursday (Sept. 8th) with various groups interested in partnering with Ekklesia in developing a village for homeless residents in Kitsap County. On Thursday morning Tim Blair met with the Port Orchard area Pastors and had an opportunity to share some updated information about our mission to develop a village for the homeless. Several church leaders expressed an interest to know more and join in the effort. Later after the meeting Tim also met with the Pastor and community involvement ministers at the First Lutheran Church of Port Orchard. Pastor Adrian Bonaro is very interested in helping and will be holding a community involvement meeting for local churches next week at their church. They will share the project and call for help. Later in the afternoon Ekklesia members Rick Bell, Sarah Pyke and Tim Blair met with some of the leaders of the Kitsap Habitat For Humanity organization who have offered the use of their property on Sidney Rd. as the new village for the homeless. We discussed many areas of concern regarding getting the ministry operational in the next few months. Monica Bernhard from KCR (Kitsap Community Resources) also attended the meeting and committed the assistance of KCR as the case management coordinators for this new village. God is opening many doors and the village logistics are coming together! Amen....Please pray for us to be led by the Spirit through every decision and that our efforts will be surrounded in protection by God.

Thank you
Ministry is filled with opportunities. Lisa and I are grateful to have been given this ministry to the Port Orchard community as new people come into our lives to serve and love. We continue to be blessed with the knowledge that so many of you are praying for us. Thank you for your support.
