on
Dec. 1.
New indoor/outdoor amenities designed to take advantage of Tucson’s warm, sunny weather are at the core of the refresh and were the first to be revealed last year. The

larger pool deck with additional lounging areas
. New

with sprawling grass lawns and verdant, indigenous landscaping surround the main pool, along with
several outdoor firepits
where guests can now relax after dark.
In the lobby,
expansive sliding glass doors
bring the outdoors in for an open-air experience with sweeping views overlooking the main pool and Pusch Ridge. Just outside, plush
built-in lounge seating
surrounds an
expansive fire pit
that serves as a focal point of the Colibri Lobby Lounge patio and is the perfect spot to catch Tucson’s stunning views while enjoying a fireside cocktail. El Conquistador Resort also features
five unique dining venues,
each showcasing Southwestern-inspired cuisine and cocktails including the new
Grab & Go
featuring quick bites and local wines and the resort’s signature restaurant,
Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails.
“This marks a
new chapter for the resort.
Our guests will now be able to experience so much more of what makes this area of the Sonoran Desert unique without having to leave the property,” said
Ghee Alexander
, general manager of the resort. “In addition to enjoying new guestrooms and amenities, guests can now experience horseback riding, guided desert hikes, native hummingbirds & butterflies in the garden, and enjoy the sunset to the performance of a Native American flute player.”
In addition to leisure guests,

will also enjoy the new resort experience for meetings and events in a dynamic setting, with
100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor flexible meeting space.
From staying connected with the office or preparing for a presentation in the new
Technology Lounge,

large conventions in the Turquoise or Presidio Ballrooms,
or a more
intimate conference
in the Coronado Ballroom to a
Western-themed event in Last Territory
, the resort offers superior catering options, exceptional décor for every occasion and an award-winning audio-visual team.
