Strengthening the Borderplex: Key Economic Insights

The Hunt Institute’s latest Paso del Norte Economic Indicator Review provides valuable insights into the economic landscape of our region. From October 2023 to October 2024, El Paso saw significant growth with 10,900 new jobs added, primarily in the services, transportation, and trade sectors. However, the report also highlights challenges, including a 15.7% rise in bankruptcy filings within the region and a 2.5% employment decline in Ciudad Juárez, driven by a downturn in the manufacturing sector.

This comprehensive report underscores the importance of strategic collaboration and informed decision-making as we work toward a resilient and thriving Borderplex economy.
