The Butterfly Encounter

This wonderful exhibit allows visitors to enjoy the company of hundreds of butterflies.

Fair-goers will have the opportunity to observe the butterflies and feed them nectar at no charge.

The Butterfly Encounter will also be giving away caterpillars to kids interested in seeing the entire transformation a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly.

El Paso County Fair's annual car show will be on Sunday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and parking for show vehicles opens at 8 a.m.

The registration fee is $5 per vehicle, which includes free admission to the fair for the driver and a passenger. Dash plaques will be provided for the first 50 entries.

All proceeds will go to Hero's Puppy for Life, and all awards will be provided by Luke's Rod and Custom Pinstriping.

4-H/FFA Community Service Award Scholarship

The Fair Advisory Board would like to honor outstanding 4-H & FFA participants that go above and beyond their normal 4-H/FFA responsibilities.

4-H/FFA general or project leaders can nominate active 4-H/FFA youth by submitting a one-page letter describing the nominee's accomplishments to [email protected] by April 29, 2023.

The winning nominee will receive the following:

• A Framed Certificate
• A $500 Scholarship
• Invitation and Recognition at the VIP Reception
• Free Fair Tickets for Their Entire Family

CINCH Scholarship

As a partner and sponsor of the El Paso County Fair, CINCH is proud to support the future of Colorado agriculture and rodeo with the introduction of 2 new scholarships, investing in those who will work to keep our western way of life alive.

Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0, be a current El Paso County 4-H member, and submit their application by May 5, 2023.

Award winners will be announced on May 15, 2023 and receive the following:

• A $1250 Scholarship
• Recognition in the 2023 El Paso County Fair Guide
