Collectively, our students completed 18,371 laps (184 miles!) and so far have raised over $16,000 in pledges. Medals will be awarded to the top walkers in each grade at a school assembly later this fall.
The final due date for pledge money is October 18. It's not too late to donate through Pledgestar and share with friends and family!

Staff Spotlight
Sra. Andonian

The PTA and our Puesta del Sol Community would like to give a warm welcome to our new 1st Grade Teacher, Sra. Kimberly Andonian.
Sra. modestly reports that she was "born speaking Spanish" in her home in California. Now Kimberly is enjoying her first year teaching at Puesta del Sol. Her students enjoy her warm and colorful "cactus themed" classroom and she brings a smile to their faces.
When she is not teaching, she enjoys running and playing Pickle Ball. She also ran track in High School and College. We wish her a wonderful first year with many years to follow!

Thank you to the Chairpersons and Volunteers for Walkathon and Book Fair
We greatly appreciate the leadership and hard work of our Walkathon Chairpersons, Kristin Mowat and Tara Brossard and our Book Fair Chairpersons, Michelle Breske and Alycia Gerlach. In addition to their many volunteers and right hand gals, Tonya Peters, Stephanie Parkins and Heather Beatty, we appreciate your passion and sacrifice!

  • Training for 40+ additional counselors to address student stress, anxiety and depression;
  • Training for teachers to integrate cutting-edge Computer Science curriculum in every classroom;
  • Libraries in our classrooms with characters and narratives that reflect our District's global culture;
  • Mentoring programs that provide one-on-one support for students in need;
  • And more!
