On behalf of the RI Coalition of Elder Justice and the Senior Agenda Coalition, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in and supported our Community Conversations Training Series. Over three sessions in Middletown, South Kingstown, and Johnston, community members, partners, and advocates came together to learn, share, and strengthen our collective response to elder abuse. This series would not have been possible without the dedication of our presenters from the Rhode Island Long Term Care Ombudsman and Saint Elizabeth Haven for Elder Justice, as well as our generous host sites and all who joined us in making Rhode Island a safer place for older adults.

Below you’ll find a collection of useful resources and information to keep the momentum going beyond the event. From presentation slides and guides to partner websites and upcoming opportunities, these tools are here to support you in continuing the work of protecting and empowering older adults. If you have any questions or need additional information, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to help.

One in ten older adults experiences abuse, most often by someone they trust. Many suffer in silence out of fear, making it critical that all Rhode Islanders recognize and report abuse to keep older adults and adults with developmental disabilities safe.

This is a call to action. Together, we can raise awareness, advocate for change, and build a safer community. Take a stand today by making the Elder Justice Pledge. Click below to join us in protecting and valuing every older adult.
