News and Notes From Your Eldorado Farmers' Market Team

Another nice market last week and the weather was beautiful. One of the nicest things I've enjoyed about the market this year is how many of you have been stopping by our table to check in and say hello. It means the world to me and to the volunteers. Thank you for all your kind words, funny stories, and your interest in the market. You make it all worthwhile!

This Friday we start accepting the September $5.00 coupons for fruits and veggies. Please note that while they are advertising SNAP DoubleUp Bucks, the coupons can be used by anyone. You don't need to be a SNAP recipient to use it! Mention you read about the coupons in this newsletter and we'll give you one at the market!

Music: Marc Malin and Paula McDonald are scheduled to perform on the La Tienda stage from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

Quick notes from some of the vendors at the market this week (see below for full list of vendors):

La Capilla Hops Farm will have raspberries, rhubarb, tomatoes, cucumbers, cooking greens, and other produce this week. (Their raspberries are delicious!)

Maya's Mushrooms - Brad will have an assortment of oyster mushrooms this week.

Sunrise Hill - Nina will be on hand with live plants & jewelry.

Sofia from Rancho Romero will be back next week but if you need anything urgently, you can order online at RanchoRomero.com.

This Week At The Market

Vendors in Bold Type have confirmed their appearance at the market as of 10:00am Thursday morning. Keep in mind, sometimes vendors have to cancel at the last minute. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the following vendors plan to be with us this Friday. (Potential strong rains may make it impossible for a vendor to make it to market).

Remember: you can always call us at 505-479-0621 between 1:00pm and 4:30pm on market day to see if a vendor is in attendance OR to talk to a vendor. If we are busy, leave a message and we will call back.

Honey/Jams: Edgewood Honey Farms, A Bee Honey/Costanza Farm (pending, if they have the time before leaving for an out of state trip), Triple Heart Farm (pending)

Information Services/Other Services/Arts: Vista Grande Public Library, Master Gardeners

The market is a drop off point for clothing and small household goods. Receipts for your donations are gladly given. Drop offs can be left at the Bienvenidos Outreach table.
