Voters elect Barnes and Lowe to Board of Education
Voters elected newcomer Carol Barnes, far left, and incumbent Bill Lowe to serve on the Raymore-Peculiar School Board. They will be sworn in during a reorganization meeting on April 18 when the Board certifies the election results.

Unofficial vote totals are shown above, listed by candidate in order of filing. Eight candidates were on the ballot for the two positions available with three-year terms.
Katlyn Lanoue is new Child Nutrition Director
Katlyn Lanoue is the new Director of Child Nutrition for the school district. She began work on April 4.

Lanoue comes to Ray-Pec from the Kansas City (Mo.) Public School District, where she had been the assistant director and dietitian since 2018. She also served as dietitian supervisor from 2016 to 2018. Her earlier career experience includes serving as a clinical dietitian for Via Christi Hospitals.

Lanoue said she chose to come to Ray-Pec for the strong culture with a focus on students. "I have a passion for child nutrition and believe the food service team includes some of the hardest working people! Everyone has been very welcoming so far, and I am happy to be here," she said. Read more
Summer School 2022
enrollment opens April 14
Online registration will begin on Thursday, April 14, for Summer School sessions.

Sessions are available for students entering grades K-12. Students are enrolled in the grade level they will enter for the 2022-2023 school year.

During June, students may choose from in-person or virtual classes. During July, virtual classes will be offered.

  • Friday, April 15 - No school - Good Friday holiday
  • Monday, April 18 - No school - Staff development.
  • Saturday, April 23 - "Taste of Ray-Pec"
  • Friday, May 6 - No school - Staff work day.
  • Friday, May 20 - Ray-Pec High School graduation.
  • Friday, May 27 - Early dismissal for last day of school.
