Electric Rates Will Change on April 1

Our rates are changing on April 1 due to expected substantial cost increases from Bonneville Power Administration, our wholesale power provider.

We are implementing a 7.5% system-wide increase on April 1. This will affect each rate class differently.

The base charge for residential and small commercial customers will increase by $2.50 per month and the energy charge will increase by 0.6¢ per kilowatt hour. The base charge for customers who qualify for our Special Waiver and Income-Qualified Senior Discount will go from $4.50 to $5 per month.

Large commercial and industrial customers will see increases of 0.32¢ per kilowatt hour on their energy charge and 40¢ per kilowatt on their demand charge. Large commercial customers will also have a $2.50 increase on their monthly base charge.

Budget Pay Amounts Updated this Month

If you are currently enrolled in Budget Pay, you may see a change in your regular bill amount this month.

Each year in February, we review your usage for the previous 12 months. This data determines your monthly Budget Pay amount for the next 12 months. Any changes are implemented in March.

Learn About Our Payment Assistance Programs

We offer several different programs to help customers with their electric bills:

• The GLOW Fund provides emergency bill payment assistance.
• The Special Waiver provides a $20 discount on the monthly base charge.
• The Income-Qualified Senior Discount provides a $20 discount on the base charge and a 10% discount on energy charges.
• The Salute to Service Deposit Waiver waives the security deposit for new residential accounts for US military veterans and active duty personnel.

Rebates Are Available for Efficiency Upgrades

If you have any home improvement projects on your to-do list for 2025, check with us about rebates before you begin. We offer rebates for:

• Insulation
• Windows and doors
• Heat pumps
• Ductless heat pumps
• Smart thermostats
• Duct sealing
• Heat pump water heaters

We Are Continuing to Replace Electric Meters

As part of our continued effort to improve operational efficiency and improve outage awareness and response, we are continuing to replace all electric meters in our service territory.

If we haven't replaced yours in the last three years, we will be changing it out. When we do, we will need to briefly shut off your power to install the new meter.

We are in the fourth year of this five-year project.
