We are excited to share that United Airlines is adding a third daily flight from XWA to Denver beginning on July 1, 2021. The departures will leave at 6AM, 8AM and 3PM while the arrivals will land at 2:30PM, 8:30PM and 12AM. We hope you enjoy this improved access to Denver and beyond!

Bird Scooters to land in Williston Soon
News Release - The City of Williston is partnering with shared electric scooter company, Bird Rides, to bring e-scooters to Williston by May 24, 2021, weather permitting. Just in time for spring, Bird scooters are a natural socially distanced way to get around. Bird scooters are available through a cell phone app and riders pay per minute at no cost to the city. The initial launch will include 25 to 50 scooters, depending on demand. Read More
Meg-A-Latte expands to Watford City

Roundup - Meg-A-Latte will be coming to Watford City the week of May 17. The new coffee shop will be located at 109 6th Ave. SE (in the former Taco John's space). Meg-A-Latte is a coffee shop provides a wide variety of coffee/espresso drinks from cappuccinos, lattes, mochas to frappuccino's and real fruit smoothies. Meg-A-Latte also has a large food menu including breakfast and lunch options, from soup and salads to grilled paninis and more. Read More

in Western North Dakota

Dakota Business Lending - While most of his friends were working part-time jobs growing up, he was starting his own lawn mowing company. Between running his small lawn care business and watching his father work construction, it was only fitting that Joseph would eventually put these two passions together. Finally, in 2008, Joseph continued his lifelong journey of a small business owner and founded Edman Builders. Regulators approve Bridger Pipeline Project

Bismarck Tribune - North Dakota regulators have approved a pipeline project that will send more Bakken crude to a Wyoming oil hub. Bridger Pipeline plans to convert 27 miles of an oil gathering pipeline into a larger transmission line in McKenzie County. It also will add another 2.4 miles to the pipeline located east of Watford City. Read More
Marathon converts Dickinson Refinery to
Renewable Diesel Plant

Bismarck Tribune - Marathon Petroleum has converted its Dickinson Refinery into a plant that turns soybean and corn oil into renewable diesel, and soon the facility will run in part on wind power. Plans to convert the refinery west of Dickinson have been in the works for years after it opened in 2015 and struggled financially. The facility stopped processing oil in April 2020. Read More
Construction begins on Watford City's
Indoor Gun Range

McKenzie County Farmer - While the McKenzie County Sportsman’s Club officially opened its doors June 20, 2020, Brooks Kummer, board member, says that the new range has rapidly grown to be one of the best and safest ranges in western North Dakota. And when the new indoor facility is completed by the end of June, he says that the club will be able to offer even more recreational shooting opportunities.
