About the Course

This 1/2 day class is great for office staff, journeymen, estimators, sales professionals, and project managers.

 

The course will cover all aspects of reading an electrical blueprint, including symbols, nomenclature, schedules, and specifications to a point so you will be able to look at a drawing and understand what the engineer/architect is trying to convey.

About the Instructor
 
Teaching this course will be  Kerry Felske.

Kerry graduated from his electrical apprenticeship in 1981. He has successfully estimated and project managed design/build projects or plan & spec for all types of work from residential, commercial, industrial, high-rise, restaurants, and retail, tenant build out, hospitals, institutional, as well as tele/data, low voltage systems, fire alarm, & security work. Very knowledgeable in all aspects of the electrical business. He has been teaching electrical classes since 2001 in Chicago and Denver. Kerry holds a Chicago Supervising Electrician's License and is a Master Electrician in Colorado.

OSHA 10 Hour Course
Get Caught Up on OSHA Requirements

OSHA 10 is necessary on most electrical and solar PV job sites.  This IECRM course provides workers, supervisors, and entry-level safety personnel with the tools necessary to effectively manage their work site safety and health.

 

This OSHA 10-hour course is designed to gain a basic understanding of the OSHA requirements and will offer practical solutions for implementing safe work practices. The class will help establish a solid foundation for effective safety programs and regulatory compliance.

 

Topics Covered in this Class

  • Introduction to OSHA
  • Focus Four Hazards in Construction:
    • Electrocution
    • Falls
    • Struck-by
    • Caught-in/between
  • Health hazards in construction
  • Stairs/ladders/scaffolds
  • Cranes and rigging
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Upon successful completion of the course, an OSHA 10-hour card will be provided.
