Electrical Conference- A Great Success 
Approximately 450 registrants, representing the best attendance in the past four years, enjoyed a great line-up of speakers, networking sessions and spectacular Whistler. Tim Horsman (EB Horsman) handed over the EC Chair position to Mark Schroeder (Rockwell Automation Inc). Attendees enjoyed Peter Sheahan on "Talent (R) Evolution" & organization attributes to attract & keep employees; Bruce Kirkby's challenges on where "magic" can happen outside of our comfort zone; Michael Campbell's insights in the Canadian economy and Canada's aging demographics.
Other informative sessions included e-business & e-commerce with a presentation by Steve Bieszczat followed by a lively panel discussion led by Bill Hammond (Hammond Power Solutions) including Elaine Gerrie-Valentini (Gerrie Electric Wholesale Limited), Todd Barlow (Siemens) & Steve Bieszczat. Other speakers included Justin Hall-Tipping ("The Nanotech Revolution") and David De Yagher ("Smart Utilities").

EFC Foundation Scholarship 2011 Recipient Testimonial "I am Marcus and I received a scholarship from the Electro-Federation Canada in October of 2011. I just thought it would be appropriate to send an update email and to thank-you once again for your Scholarship. I will be graduating Mohawk College in June of this year with around an 90% average and will be 1 of 4 (out of 23 total) people graduating with honours. I thank you very much for believing in me, and will be continuing my education for another two years at Lakehead University- getting my Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
