Not Too Late To Register To Vote
I would love to see Fremont Township have a higher voter turnout than any other township in Lake County.  If you don't think you can make it to the polls on election day,  please go to the Fremont Library to vote early.

Early voting runs through March 12 and the closest location for Fremont Township residents to vote early is at the Fremont Library. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

It isn't too late to register to vote. Just go to the Fremont Library during early voting and make sure you bring two forms of identification. One of them must have your current address on it.  You must vote at the time you register.

You can still get a ballot sent to you!

This doesn't work for you?  There are four locations that can accommodate you on Sundays.  Call the Clerks office at 847 377-2410 for that information.

Update On Hawley
Work is scheduled to resume on the Hawley the first week of March. The contractor plans to start by installing sanitary service connections between Prairie and US 45. These connections will tie into the new sewer we installed last fall, so please be prepared for daily lane closures.

They also expect the contractor to begin work on the new storm sewer system. They'll start on the north side of the road at Pershing and work their way east and west from there. The storm sewer main between California and Prairie is on the n. side of the road and will be installed by mid-April. Also, the contractor will be installing partial storm sewer crossings in this area. This work is to ensure the when the new pavement is installed this summer, it will be able to cleanly drain off the site. There will be daily closures for this work as well, particularly when installing the crossings.

All this work is preparation leading up to the road closure planned to start on April 18th. This is when the construction of the new pavement will begin and traffic will be restricted to WB only along Hawley. Be on the lookout for more information on the closure and associated detour in the coming month.

Fremont Township Food Pantry
Fremont Township operates a food pantry.  If you are aware of Fremont residents in need, please refer them to our office.

Our pantry accepts monetary, food and non-perishable donations from local residents and businesses.

Donations can also be made to the Fremont Township Community Garden. The Garden provides fresh produce to our low income seniors and food pantry clients.  We appreciate the generosity of our community.

We are currently in need of toiletries and cleaning supplies.
Recycle Sheets, Blankets, Towels, for the Dogs
If you have used towels, sheets or blankets that need to be recycled, please consider bringing them to Fremont Township at 22385 Rt 60, Mundelein to be donated to local Animal Shelters and Rescues.  Please drop them in the bin on the front porch. This keeps them out of the landfill and puts them to good use.

We also accept eye glasses and shoes to be recycled year round.  If you are disposing of shoes that have laces, please tie the laces together.
Donate to our Diaper Bank
Fremont Township is a member of the Diaper Bank Partnership of Lake County.  This service can provide 30 diapers / month (adult and child) to residents in need. If you know of Fremont Township residents in need, please have them call our office at 847 223-2847 for more information.
We also accept diaper donations.  We are in need of sizes childrens size 3,4,5 and 6, and Women's XL pullups and Men's L pullups.
